Fundraisers
All funds raised by the Lindsay Ann Burke Memorial Fund pay for dating violence workshops and curriculum materials for Rhode Island middle and high school health teachers, along with awareness trainings for school staff, and parents.
The Lindsay Ann Burke Memorial Fund relies mostly on private donations. Staff and students have been involved in various fundraising efforts having the dual purpose of supporting the Lindsay Ann Burke Memorial Fund and increasing the awareness level of this topic. A heightened awareness leads to an increased discussion of the topic of teen dating violence. This sends the message to everyone that this issue is important, and change is possible through education. Click here to learn more about other LABMF eventsFundraising Events

About Lindsay
Lindsay could easily be described as the “the girl next door”. She grew up on a small street in the suburbs, knowing all the neighbors and playing with all the children in the neighborhood. They went to school together, played in the neighborhood together, celebrated birthdays together, went to extra-curricular activities together, attended religious education classes together, and sometimes, even went on vacation together. Some of her closest friends from our old neighborhood felt much sadness and pain upon hearing of her murder. Read more about Lindsay’s story.
