2008 Imagine Dinner Dance
Our second annual dinner dance was a success! Imagine: A World Without Relationship Violence was a held at the beautiful Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown, RI with food and facilities donated by the Atlantic Beach Club and DJ services donated by Mike Delyi. A special thank you goes to all of our committee members for their hard work, along with support from local businesses, and our speakers; Joee Lindbeck, Special Assistant to the Attorney General and our RI Attorney General Patrick Lynch.
175 guests attended to support a worthy cause. These guests included people from Washington Trust, Affordable Office Furniture, Nardolillo Funeral Home, Faber Daeufer & Rosenberg, Roger Williams University, May Jewelry Company, Douglas Ricci and Custom Design, Inc. Flowers for our beautiful centerpieces were donated by Shaws Supermarket, Flowerthyme, and Belmont Market. Staples and CVS Pharmacy also helped to sponsor our event.
All of the money raised from this event will fund future health teacher workshops.
About Lindsay
Lindsay could easily be described as the “the girl next door”. She grew up on a small street in the suburbs, knowing all the neighbors and playing with all the children in the neighborhood. They went to school together, played in the neighborhood together, celebrated birthdays together, went to extra-curricular activities together, attended religious education classes together, and sometimes, even went on vacation together. Some of her closest friends from our old neighborhood felt much sadness and pain upon hearing of her murder. Read more about Lindsay’s story.
