Awareness trainings are available for parents on the topic of teen dating violence:

The goals of the parent workshops are to increase knowledge and understanding of healthy vs.unhealthy relationships, increase knowledge of teen dating violence curriculum materials, increase understanding of how to respond to teen victims, and increase knowledge of the availability of community resources. The importance of communication between parents/staff and teens is also emphasized.
Topics covered in each workshop include:
- Types of violence
- Warning signs of an abusive relationship
- Cycle of abuse
- Healthy vs. unhealthy relationships
- Why don’t they just leave?
- How to help: Do’s and Don’ts
- Community Resources
